GPS area measurement tool for firefighting

I have written a tool during the last couple of months that allows android users to measure area with their phones built in GPS by walking or driving around it.

I don't know if it is useful for firefighting, but I have got an email from a wildfire firefighter that did think it was useful to him. So I thought I better inform about it in case it may be useful.

It is available for free from the android market and is called "Distance and area measurement".

The application that is obtained from there do contain ads, which I guess might be disturbing in a critical situation like this. If there is anyone that is interested, I could however set up distribution of a free and ad free version.
